How to Choose Colors as per Vastu
When god created this nature he has made it so colourful. The nature or the prakriti has so many colours to it in form of landscapes, trees, flowers and fruits that they touch our soul. As per the science of Vastu, the colors have a very important role in balancing of energies. Colors bring harmony in one’s life if used in the right way . Lord Vishnu, the preserver of this universe is always shown in yellow clothes. Yellow colour denotes Buddhi, Patience, Courage and knowledge. Even in nature when a fruit ripens it turns yellow. By eating these fruits one gains strength, vigour and vitality. Similarly goddess Saraswati is shown in white clothes which denote knowledge, wisdom, purity and sattava element. Red clothes worn by Ma Durga and Lakshmi denote Courage, Energy and blessings of the mother. The saffron colour worn by Sannyasis show renunciation & spirituality. Black colour is worn by Lord Shani and Yamadharamraj which denotes Justice, Dharma and fruits of ones karmas or actions. One cannot give justice without being harsh and unmoved, that is the reason this color is used in courts so that justice can be given without any attachments and emotions. Now let us see how the colors affect the vastu of a workplace or a house. Colours give results based on directions and placement of rooms therein. South West Direction As per vastu, the master bedroom or the managing director’s cabin should be placed in South Western part of the site. Light Pink or Lemon color is very good for this direction. Light Pink represents love and promotes harmony in the relationship. Pink color is also good for material gains as it enhances the root chakra energies. The negative colours for this direction are Bright red and Dark Green.
North West Direction This direction is governed by Vayu and is ideal for Guest Rooms or bedroom of unmarried daughters. In business this direction is best for Marketing Dept. Ideal colours for this direction is Off-white or ivory. North Direction This direction is ruled by Kuber and the lord is mercury. Green color is good for this direction. Again very dark colors should not be used in this direction. Ideal for Treasury, Living Area, Accounting Dept, Entrance, Open space . South Direction This direction is governed by Yama and is ideal for Bedroom, Store Room. In Business this direction is good for cabins of senior management. Dark shades of Coral are good for this direction. Light colours should be avoided as it would bring laziness. East Direction White and very light shades are best for this direction. The more this area remains lighted the better it is considered. Dark colours should never be used. This direction is ideal for open spaces or making living rooms or study. West Direction The direction is ruled by Varun and lord is Saturn. Blue is the ideal colour for this direction. Using this colour would be bringing order and structure. One who resides here will become disciplined. Good for children room or study room. North East Direction The direction is ruled by Ishwar and lord is Jupiter. This area is ruled by Jal Tatwa. Again light colours should be used in this direction. Shades of Light green and whites are good. Ideally this area should have open space. Good for making prayer room. South East Direction Direction is ruled by agni tatwa. The lord is venus. Yellow is the ideal color for this direction. This direction is ideal for making kitchen. The south of South east is also used for toilets
